These Terms of Service govern use of the Floro marketplace at shop.floro.uk, including customer accounts, developer profiles, software listings and related marketplace features. Please read them before creating an account, submitting software or placing an order. You can save or print this page for your records.
1. Floro and the marketplace
“Floro”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the operator of the Floro marketplace. Contact us at contactus@floro.uk with questions about these Terms, an order or your account.
Floro enables people to discover, buy, sell and contribute to software, automation tools and related digital products. A product may be offered by Floro or by an independent seller. The supplier, product description, price and applicable licence must be clear before you purchase. If any of these details are unclear, contact us before ordering. These Terms do not remove any obligations Floro or a seller has under applicable law.
2. Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 18 to open a marketplace account or enter into transactions through it. If you act for a company or another organisation, you must have authority to do so. Provide accurate information, keep it up to date and keep your login details secure. Do not impersonate another person or share account access in a way that compromises security.
Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity you authorise through your account, but this does not make you responsible for losses caused by our own failure to meet our legal obligations.
3. Acceptable use
Do not use Floro to distribute malware, steal credentials or data, infringe intellectual property, deceive users, manipulate reviews, send spam or carry out unlawful activity. Do not attempt to bypass approval controls, access another person’s private information or interfere with the marketplace’s security or operation.
Software that automates activity must be used with appropriate permissions and in accordance with the rules of the systems it connects to. Do not submit personal data, confidential material or access credentials that you are not entitled to share.
4. Developers, sellers and product review
Creating a developer account or verifying your email does not approve you to sell. Registered developers may upload software privately for Floro review before email verification or profile approval. Complete the required profile and declarations, verify your account email and obtain Floro approval before software is published or offered for sale. Products and changes to published products remain subject to separate review.
Sellers must have the rights needed to distribute their products and must describe functionality, limitations, compatibility, dependencies, support and licence terms accurately. Disclose any required third-party accounts, subscriptions, usage charges or other material costs before purchase. State your trader status accurately; registering as an individual does not itself mean you are acting outside a trade or business.
Sellers retain responsibility for their claims, software and legal obligations. Floro approval permits marketplace participation; it is not a guarantee of a developer’s qualifications, every security characteristic of a product, or the results a buyer will achieve.
5. Orders, pricing and payment
Review the listing, licence, compatibility requirements and order details before paying. The checkout should show the total payable, currency, applicable taxes and any additional charges. Optional extras require your agreement. Correct errors before submitting the order and contact us promptly if you notice a problem afterwards.
Payment is handled through the payment methods available at checkout. An order acknowledgement confirms receipt of an order; the purchase is accepted when the supplier confirms acceptance or makes the purchased product available. If an order cannot be accepted, any payment taken for it must be returned. Save your order confirmation and applicable product terms.
Any recurring charge, renewal arrangement or minimum term must be clearly disclosed and separately agreed before purchase. A one-off software purchase does not by itself authorise an ongoing subscription.
6. Software licences and intellectual property
A purchase grants the use rights described in the product’s applicable licence; it does not transfer copyright or ownership of the software unless expressly agreed in writing. Check whether the licence permits commercial use, client work, modification, multiple users or redistribution. If those permissions are not stated, ask before purchase.
Do not resell, redistribute or publish software beyond the rights granted by its licence or applicable law. Open-source components remain subject to their applicable open-source licences, which take precedence for those components. Nothing here restricts rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
You retain rights in material you submit. You grant Floro the non-exclusive rights reasonably needed to host, review, display and distribute that material through the marketplace in accordance with your listing and any agreed licence. This does not authorise disclosure of private account or review information.
7. Downloads, dependencies and safe use
Delivery, access, supported platforms, included updates and support depend on the particular listing and order. Do not assume lifetime access, ongoing updates or unlimited support unless expressly included. Third-party services may have their own accounts, prices, terms and availability.
Read the documentation, keep suitable copies of your own work and test software in an appropriate environment before using it with important systems or data. AI-generated output and automated actions may contain errors and should receive appropriate human review. These precautions do not replace the supplier’s responsibility to provide products that meet applicable legal standards and their description.
8. Consumer cancellation rights
If you are a UK consumer buying online from a trader, you generally have a 14-day cancellation period from entering a contract for digital content, subject to the rules that apply to that supply.
For digital content supplied during that period, the right to cancel is lost only where the legal requirements are met, including your express consent to supply beginning early, your acknowledgement that this will end the cancellation right, and the required contract confirmation. Accepting these Terms alone is not that separate consent or acknowledgement. If the requirements are not met, your applicable cancellation rights remain.
Different rules can apply to services, including work started at your express request during a cancellation period. Any lawful proportionate charge or loss of a cancellation right must meet the applicable requirements. Contact us at contactus@floro.uk with your order reference and a clear statement that you wish to cancel. We will help direct the request to the responsible supplier. See the UK government’s guidance on online digital sales.
9. Faulty products, refunds and support
Your statutory rights remain separate from any change-of-mind cancellation right or voluntary refund policy. For paid digital content supplied by a trader to a UK consumer, applicable rights include satisfactory quality, fitness for a purpose made known and agreed, and conformity with the description. Available remedies can include repair or replacement and, where legally appropriate, a price reduction or refund. A download does not remove rights relating to faulty or misdescribed content.
Contact the supplier or contactus@floro.uk with your order reference, a description of the issue and relevant evidence. Do not send passwords, full card details or private identity documents. No listing, licence or voluntary refund policy may override mandatory consumer rights.
10. Seller fees and payouts
Seller commissions, payment-processing charges, payout arrangements and any applicable verification requirements must be disclosed and agreed through the relevant seller arrangements before they apply. These Terms do not promise a particular payout schedule or payment provider. Sellers must provide accurate information through authorised channels and meet applicable tax and reporting obligations.
11. Contributions and project work
Expressing interest in a challenge or contributing to a project does not by itself create an employment relationship, transfer intellectual property or entitle anyone to payment, equity or a share of revenue. Agree the scope, deliverables, ownership, licence, payment and acceptance arrangements in writing before work begins. Separate project terms apply where agreed, subject to mandatory law.
12. Public profiles and privacy
Public developer information may include a display or trading name, seller type, country, biography, skills, experience and profile image. Skills and experience are self-declared. GitHub and LinkedIn profile links supplied in the developer profile are private review information for you and Floro administrators; they are not displayed on your public profile. The developer profile no longer requests a Website field.
Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is used. Optional marketing choices are separate from marketplace participation.
13. Moderation, suspension and account closure
We may remove a listing or restrict an account where reasonably necessary to address unlawful content, security risks, fraud, rights complaints or material breaches of these Terms. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and offer an opportunity to respond; urgent action may be necessary to protect users or comply with law.
Contact us to request account closure or challenge a moderation decision. Restrictions and closure do not erase accrued payment obligations, lawful refund claims or other rights. We will handle existing purchases and personal information in accordance with applicable law and the Privacy Policy.
14. Responsibility and liability
Each party remains responsible for its own obligations and for losses for which it is legally liable. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
We do not promise uninterrupted availability or a particular commercial result from every product. This does not exclude responsibility for a failure to meet an express commitment, applicable statutory standard or other legal duty. Any product-specific terms must be read subject to these protections.
15. Changes and resolving problems
We may update these Terms as the marketplace develops. The date at the top identifies this version. Material changes will be brought to users’ attention where required, and any necessary agreement will be requested. Changes do not retrospectively remove rights attached to an existing purchase or agreed project.
Please contact contactus@floro.uk so we can investigate a complaint. Nothing here prevents you from using a legal remedy or bringing a claim in a court available to you under applicable law, including mandatory protections where you live.
